I kind of think it is good for me though, i am in buffalo,ny and with all of the salt and or ice n snow that we deal with the air dam deflects some of that stuff from building up and rotting my jeep.

Nothing to back my thought on this but i can say that salt is nasty here and it eats up you ride so anyprotection is fine by me.
I took my air dam off and yes you will get alot of hood lift. I just got the daystar hood latches for like 30$ and that problem went away. But I agree with you about the salt, that S*** suck for out cars

It does and i think it makes good point as to why i started the thread - showing a good middle of the road option that works well and looks good on the jeep.

Nope don't rock crawl and no sand dunes.
Some trails, around town, and on the highway - great option.

***Unfortunately i don't have the fortune of having a offroad only jeep - wish i did though - hmm thinking....***

No superchip yet?

Seriously, night and day when you go up in size.
I am happy on the highway again, it shifts in all of the correct places, the jeep is alive like never before.

Removing the spring by the hood latch made a lot of difference with the hood flutter for me. The air dam is unsightly and had to go (in my opinion).

I agree. I hated the look of the air dam. Like to see my undercarriage But I don't think it helped out mpg

I am also in Buffalo/Rochester. I removed my air dam and it really doesn't cover much. Just hit the front crossbar with some paint every now and then and you're golden. My Jeep is shiny jet black underneath.

I am running 33x12.5x20 that I put on my jeep because I lucked out and got a crazy deal on both rims and tires that I couldn't pass up. At first I wasn't sure if the rim size was too big but after almost a year of running them on and off road I have no regrets. There is not a lot of places to go true rock crawling around in Florida so it suits my needs for trail and mud rides. I will upgrade to 35's or 37's when I eat through this set but I am in no hurry. I know many don't like the 20 on a jeep but with the right tire and in black they look great in my opinion. So flame away if you must and thanks to those who like the look.

I have no problem with 20s as long as the tires are beefy. And rockstar looks better without the center cap.
