It does leave a bit of a gap, I know personally.
I just didn't want to get springs twice. Once some 37s go on it will look much more "right", if thats the term. Its just fine for now, I don't need bump stop extensions so there is tons of room for flexing. I'll need about 2-2.5" bump stops once I get bigger shoes for the jeep.
Glad I'm not too worried about what others think of my JK, I don't judge others based on their rigs

Yeah had to buy spring retainers in the front. The shocks just barely keep the coils from binding.
I have tested it both ways with a lift at work. Definitely need control arms to get the angles right before 37s, that way the suspension moves in that nice arc motion
