I think it's a fine looking vehicle. Not everything needs to wheel. I'd own one, I bet it serves a purpose well for many people.

I wouldn't buy it because it wouldn't suite my needs. There are too many nicer looking daily drivers in my opinion... to each his own but I'm not digging it at all.

It's not for me but I think there is definitely a market for it. I'd also bet there is a lot of design resemblances to the next wranglers. Not that I'm wishing for that.

For all the haters: if someone asked your opinion to buy a small, 30 mpg CUV for mid-$20,000~$25,000 what would you compare/ shop the Renegade with? A JK? No. Buick Encore; Kia Soul; Mini Countryman and Nissan Juke are the rivals, not the JK. From that competition, what would hit the trails best? Will you hate so much that you would steer the buyer away from Jeep?

When the JK gets replaced, will you hate the new platform too?

I agree with what you said, but to add one thing: we are the minority of lifted wranglers and those that actually do stuff outdoors with our wrangler. The wrangler sells for its off road mystique as a sports car sells for its speed or HP/performance claims. We have to understand that the people that buy these cars buy them for what capability the car/ Jeep "can" do- not what they will do with it! Thats the business that Fiat or any car manufacturer is in the business to solicit.

I wish it wasn't true but it is!!
