Default 2012 JKU Build - Big MAK

The build officially started today; progress will be posted in this thread. I'll pull in some links from the prep work too.

Packed everything up .... two 37s will fit in the back of a 2 dr even with the seat in. BARELY. Strapped them to keep from busting the window or the wiper motor. So we had 2 of the tires in my wife's 2 dr and everything else in the 4 dr. Although the 5th tire had to go on the tire carrier. Looked kinda funny with that big tire on the spare mount with stock wheels on the Jeep.

Build List:
Teraflex 4" LCG Long Arm
Teraflex Exhaust Spacers
Teraflex Rear Adjustable Trackbar
EVO Draglink Flip Kit
EVO C2 Combo Pack (Gussets, CA Skids)
EVO Magnum 44 Axle Sleeves
LoD Rock Sliders to go with the LoD Front and Rear bumpers
Coast 1310 Driveshafts Front and Rear
4.88 Gears (I have a manual)
AEV ProCal to reprogram tires/gears
TEN Chormoly Axle Shafts Front and Rear
ATX Slab Beadlock Wheels
37" Nitto Trail Grappler's M/T

Hauled it all to Rob's garage and started tearing down.

Too bad we had such crappy weather this last week the Jeep is filthy and salty. Ah well; winter in Nebraska.

Suspension out and a hint of things to come:

We got the front mounted up and on the ground for safety; then cut rear brackets and welding up the new ones. One minor mishap pictured here; who can guess what's wrong with one of these pics?

(here's a hint)

HUGE thank you to David at Northridge and HUGE thank you to Teraflex for the overnight. You both rock.

Next up; Sliders. Then a test drive.

Turns out the gear shop that we had do the gears tweeked something and the front is perma-locked. After reprogramming and such everything seems good and it runs/drives good minus not being able to stear these big tires on concrete when the front is locked. It'll have to be towed to the shop in the morning. We tested all leads and so forth everything is good. After some research we believe a shim is jamming the collar (from install) that engages/disengages the locker. It was locked installed it's nothing that happened during test drive.

Guess I should have reserved another spot

Finished pics are on page 2.
