We bought it for around $4000 from the auction. New frame from Chrysler was $1000, straight clean body with tailgate from a salvage yard was $3000, wheels and tires $800 and misc parts/expense around $1000. So we figure we will have around $10000 into it and that isn't too bad for a 2012 Jeep JK Unlimited with 3400 miles on it. The doors and hartop were good because when the person wrecked it they didn't have those on. It already had a Rough Country lift installed so that was a plus. We did all of the work ourselves including paint. The body is Cosmos Blue and the grill, flares and windshield brackets are painted flat black. Coming this week is the hood decal, Bestop Trektop NX and step bars. Of course most people would have looked at this going through the auction and never thought to fix it.

Still really impressed heck even $4,000 not fixed for good engine transmission transfer case doors and hardtop is a steal in a lifetime in itself

Good work

You can finds wheels and tires all day on Craigslist

Someone locally was selling a brand new 13 Sahara set for $500

Those tires without wheels cost $280 each, just curious where they found 5 with wheels new for 800? That's all...

Tires on the passenger were mounted wrong. Those are directional tires. Looks good though.

Yeah, the tires were mounted wrong on the wheels. The shop that mounted and balanced them didn't realize they were directionals. We are taking the Jeep to get the alignment tomorrow and having the tires fixed then. I only had to buy 2 tires and 5 wheels, that is why we don't have much into the wheels/tires. My husbands family owns a salvage yard and already had 3 of the tires like brand new.
Thank you for all of the postive feedback
