thinking about installing shocks from a 4" kit to get more travel

Isnt that a spring lift opposed to a spacer? I think some of the spacers have the ability to flex more than that. Was your front say bar disconnected?

EDIT: Looks like you are disconnected, doesn't show that much flex, maybe its the angle of the picture?

front was disco but not rear.

Yeah, I would say you should have more flex than that.

Here is my Jeep with a Teraflex 2.5 BB and Tera sway bar disco's. Just the front.

i have the teraflex also and love it maybe you just need some longer shocks

maybe there is something wrong? here is my 2" BB skyjacker w/ stock shocks and no bump stops.

I'd say the springs aren't worn in yet, and the near corner on the Jeep is high in the pic giving the illusion that the front tire isn't down very far. It would be interesting to see the same picture retaken from a higher position. Also, I wonder if the springs are just stiffer than stock to compensate for a heavy winch bumper (which isn't there yet).
