08 4-door JK ~VS~ A drunk in a Durango...
Got hit TWICE in the rear by a drunk driver while goin 50 m.p.h....
The police say he was going AT LEAST 35 m.p.h. faster than me... so he hit me goin about 85.... and then he hit me again...

WHOA!
Hope everyone in the Jeep was ok. Screw the drunk!
Did you have the extra insurance for the new Jeep so they will just replace it with another new one?
Bummer. Upside is that Jeeps just seem to take a lick and keep on ticking.

I don't have the vehicle replacement thing with my insurance (GEICO) but even if i did i would still want any and all the money to come from his insurance.... and it sent four of the five occupants in the jeep to the hospital... as well as the drunk who had multiple lacerations to his neck from the seat belt...

Well, a lot of X-rays and a CAT scan later they let us go... and there'll be some permanent damage to some more than others but everyone is alive and able to walk so i guess that's the best part...
The general consensus so far is that it's totaled...
the hard top is ruined
the soft top is ruined
the left side is so messed up you can't even get the back door opened and the front door you have to slam because it's so warped, same on the right but the doors will open but they sure don't do it easy...
plus the rear gate is pushed all the way up into the floor pan... the only thing that is okay is the front door hinges forward... and he hit us right on the frame so i dont know if it's bent yet or not...
