I have an '09 2 door Rubicon and am looking to tow a small 16 foot toy hauler. 2000# empty, up to 3000# loaded. I know the powertrain will handle it just fine because the same powertrain is rated for 3500# in the 4 door, but I'm curious to know how a 2-door will do pulling up to 1000# over it's rating. I plan to use a weight distributing hitch.

Here's what I tow around in the summer...two Sea Doo RXPX's. Funny thing is, they can put a 255 HP motor in one of these but they simply can't figure out how to put a motor in a Jeep thats adequate enough to power it.
