Most socket sets and an assortment of wrenches will get the job done . However a couple that are not included in most sets are a 8mm 12 point wrench and socket for removing your driveshaft. Also a 36mm socket, 13mm 12 point wrench and socket to remove your front axle shafts.

Default Here is my trail tool kit

I put this together for just under a $100. Everything fits into a tool bag that goes right under a rear seat.

I want to get something to cut limbs and trees also. I think I'm going to get a battery powered reciprocating saw.

It's basically a craftsman mechanics kit, 3 bags and two craftsman wrench kits. I also take a large bin with every fluid the Jeep would need, a small bin for electric and other misc stuff and my ARB recovery bag will all my straps, shackles, etc. All that takes up about 75% of the trunk area in my unlimted. Plenty of room left for clothes, food etc.

Great list...

Where did you get the tool rolls? I'm pretty well packed except for my wrenches...

He's my list...

The bulk of it is just for trail runs, the go bag is just my anal retentive attempt to be prepared, it's two days worth of whatever you can think of to get by for two days of last minute travel or even just being prepared in case of rapid weather changes, or falling down in the mud!

Always looking for suggestions on things I overlooked, all of the stuff below fits in a moderately sized Hardigg case (kind of like a bigger version of a pelican case)

Except for 48 hour go bag everything is strapped down to the factory mounts meant for back seat in 2 door jk, using ATV ratchet straps

Packing inside Jeep

Bare basics...maglight d cell flashlight with extra batteries, Rigid Industries small deathly bright flashlight, leatherman, 48 hour go bag, Allen wrench and regular wrench both for Ace hood mount for hi lift jack...

Spare remote for winch always kept rolled up under passenger seat (winch is unusable without corded remote and primary remote is kept in ARB rescue bag that's only loaded in Jeep for trail riding etc)

(optional based on locale Glock .40)
