Try some por15 or chassis saver you will never rust again. It is pretty much some of the toughest paint on the planet.

Yeah that's what I plan in doing just so my frame doesn't get eaten up by rust.

You might want to check it out it bonds to the metal much like powder coat. I rammed a bumper into a rock bending the bumper and didn't even chip the paint. I pained some axles on a bronco and drag them over rocks still looks new. You may chip some of it off but it is 1000 times better than paint. Spray paint does good to stay on a year without rusting in normal conditions. Yeah spray paint is cheap but who wants to paint every year when you could just on the occasion do a touch up. It cures using moisture so if it gets wet it gets harder completely sealing the metal from rust. Notice the picture the frame was painted with spray paint the same time the axle was painted with chassis saver.

Yeah its pricy I usually by the small can and do a small project at a time. Notice I only painted the axles on the bronco.

Yea I have to coat my frame every year with Bedliner bc of the salt road winters and in the summer on an island, preventable maintenance is a lot better than a frame collapsing due to rust

Default Rust

Well i clean everything first. Remove any oil, grease. Then i use diffrent wire brushes and i apply a rust converter that neutralize the rust and leaves a surface ready to be painted. For paint i use POR-15. Is a good product, and it comes in satin, flat or gloss. Try and check online Eastwood.com. for
Good luck!
