Default Roof rack

I am looking for a roof rack. I want to carry a kayak or two. I would like one that mounts to only the top so I can just yank the top off when the mood arises. I don't want the kind that mounts to the bumper and pillars.

Looking for suggestions on which type or model.

Have you looked at Gobi? I like the fact that Gobi doesn't require me to drill into any panels or the top. It mounts to frame...and it works with hard top, soft top, or no top. It is a little pricey but the best on market in my opinion.

I don't have a kayak but I throw my canoe on mine with no problems.

Good luck with your selection.

I just got a body armor rack base. It's a full rack with the pillers but you can still got the top off very easy with moving or disconnecting anything. At only $500 its a great rack. You will need the Thule adapter for it though. And if your rear bumper is stock you'll have to cut holes in it.

You could get a light bar mount for the front windshield and a kayak hitch holder.

Croce that's a great idea. I'll look into that.

I have the Gobi Stealth with the quick disconnects and it is Sleek, Slick, and Functional no matter what top you are or are not running.
