Off Road Trailers & Towing

Off Road Trailers & Towing
So I'm going from a much larger 4x4 into my JK unlimited and I'm struggling to figure out how the heck I'll go camping with the whole family ever again. I think my answer is a trailer but I don't want to break the bank doing it.
My options:
1. Adventure Trailer- $10,000 + (I wish but no way I can justify it) No idea how much these weigh.
2. M100 or M416 Trailer- Seeing prices from $400 to $1200 depending on condition but not finding many local options and shipping seems high: I like these as they are really light, under 600 lbs empty, and small in size.
3. M101A1 or A2- 3/4 ton Trailer and I'm assuming about 1300lbs empty... I can find these just about anywhere and can get a decent one and local for $500 or less.
What is too much weight to tow... I know the JK is rated for more then 1500lbs but I want to tow offroad and not have any worries of even taking it over a trail like the Rubicon.
Any ideas or comments from my fellow JK'ers that tow an offroad trailer?

I just ordered an Outlander Trailer. They're custom made, and he'll do anything you can imagine. Mine is nicely equipped for around $7500. Google the name and check them out. PM me if you have any questions.

Wanted: Recommend trailer tow mirrors
I'd like to get a set of trailer tow mirrors for the Wrangler. Suggestions? Does anyone make anything that bolts on near the door/window corners using the factory bolts (typical mounting location for lights)? Slip-on or clamp-on over existing mirror is okay too but would prefer bolt-on.

Here is my setup. Went with the guys from w ww.offroadtrailerz.com
The Outlander seems like a good set up as well. Logged two weeks through Nova Scotia, PEI, Quebec,New Brunswick, and Cape Breton Island in this with the wife. We were quite comfortable.

ht tp://www.costco.com type in "camping trailer". Put some larger tires on it and it will go offroad.
There is also the Sierra trailer: start around $3500 htt p://www.sierra4x4trailers.com/

I like the lifetime trailer for casual camping, but that is not a good off road trailer. You would need ot swap out the entire axle, new wheels & tires as well as wheel wells, then you need to review the hitch and swap it out for a pintler or rotating ball. After all that, plus the original cost, might as well buy a true off road trailer.
Just so everyone knows, the Sierra trailer below the Lifetime one is fully loaded and will set you back 8-10K. They are great, but the $3500 version is bare bones.

low to ground access
I'm interested in the Lifetime Trailer (was looking at the Jumping Jack before the smaller Lifetime came out) as I don't want to climb up into the tent. Also want my 100lbs dog to be able to get in the tent. The adventure type trailers are awesome, but I personally have to rule out the "rooftop" type tents.
I am conceding that I can't take the trailer everywhere, but will use it more as a basecamp. However, with the lightweight of the trailer (I don't have a quad to put on top), the trailer could be pulled into several locations I go. Not everywhere, but it'll go where I need it to go and do what I need it to do.
