Default My First Tire Upgrade Ever. Need Help

Okay here is my situation. My wifes Cherokee needs new tires pretty bad. I want to put my stock tires from My Wrangler (32 inch Bridgestone Dueler) on her Cherokee and upgrade the tires on my Wrangler.

Here's the rub....
I don't have tons of money so I would like to keep both sets of rims the same on each Jeep.

Does anyone know if I can do this? Also what tires do you suggest for an upgrade, I'm looking to keep the cost manageable.

Sure, you can keep the wheels on both, as long as the wheel sizes are the same. As for buying new tires, I've never known anybody to really like tires they bought cheap, unless they were slightly used. I'd say shoot Tire Rack a message and see what they recommend you do.

What wheels are on the Cherokee?

What type of driving conditions are you planning for the Wrangler?

Which Cherokee? KL or XJ? Looks like a stock XJ can squeeze in a skinny 30".

Most likely beginner trails. I do not have much experience so until I get comfortable I won't be going too nuts, but I will be off road.

What size rims on the Grand Cherokee and JK? Seems like 30" tire is what the GC is designed around, including the cutout for the spare. Not sure, but with added bumpstops to limit travel you might be able to squeeze it in there. The spare will not fit in the cutout. I don't think it's a good thing. Your cramming too much tire in the space.

You could lift the GC to fit larger tires. But why when you have the JK.

you will most likely need wheel spacers and a budget boost to fit 32's on a WK.

are they both 17 in diameter wheels?

I like my Nitto Terra Grapplers. I drive 95% on rd and the rest snow or beach. They wear nicely, are safe in the rain, and look pretty nice. I liked them so much on my 07 JK that I put them on my 2010 JKU and my 2011 Ram.

If you're looking to save money on tires, after exhaustive research I was able to get the best deal on Nitto Trail Grapplers at Tirebuyer.com. I even found a promo code and got 12% off and free shipping! This was last June though you'll have to see what is available now but even without the discount they were cheaper than Tire Rack and every other online and Retail tire shop.
