Default Mud - How to try and keep it off????

I have heard that spraying tire shine or WD40 will help the mud from sticking to the undercarriage or to the underside of the fenders.

Anyone know of other ways to keep the mud off? I'm trying to make the clean up a little less painful!

I was waiting for you to say that, just new it was coming!

I just want to try and keep it somewhat clean and get years of problem free use out of it.

wd40 has always worked well for me on all of my past 4wheelers dodges and the jeep. I did find that silicone works a bit better.

Never tried it, but love the name....

It's probably just re-packaged WD-40

I've heard of the Pam cooking spray working esp with the drag strip as mentioned. Me personally, I'm just gonna go hardcore, rip the fenders off on a tree and go fenderless. No fenders = no fender cleanup

Here's one of the many places to buy it -speedwaymotors.com/MUDD-OFF-1-QT-MAKES-3-GAL,2590.html

Mix it with water and put it in one of those pump-style sprayers.

You can really get good coverage that way. When the mud dries up it will pretty much just fall off on it's own. Clean up what's left easily at the car wash.

Hope this helps

do not use water diesel- 40 WD-40

use PAM.... vegetable spray

WD-40 has the ability to make tires soft and swell rubber parts like break lines and ball joint caps as well as contaminate your brake surfaces

vegetable based cooking pray doesn't do this.

as well environmental choice is clear...or at least i hope it is to everyone.

Use PAM as it is cheaper and won't affect anything on your rig. Also can pull your wheels of and put some PAM on the rim to help with mud removal there.
