Is there some sort of technique that I can use to help me out?? I had a hand throttle on my old Blazer and that made all the difference in the world. I was able to clutch, gas and brake at the same time. Is it even possible to have a hand throttle on a JK?

Dick burnslove the screen name. I use the right foot with the heel on the brake and the toes on the gas. The left foot works the clutch. Sometimes I use the hand brake.
On a side note I will be in Fairbanks the 1st week of august. What is the weather up there. Thanks for any info. in advanceme

I was just reading the Sept. 2008 issue of Four Wheeler and they have an article about that electronic hand throttle others had posted about. It's 3 pages about project 'con artist' and an install they did of this product. Sounds great and would solve the steep hill issue without riding the brake or clutch (OUCH!).

+1. I used this very technique a few times today while playing "tail gunner" on a group of newer jeepers ascending a cut line with lots of rock "stairs". If you "feel" your way out with the clutch, you'll know when you're clear to let off the break...probably even without looking at your tach once you've had some practice.
