JKs to the rescue!
Had a great day of wheeling and exploring Anasazi ruins near Blanding, Utah last weekend.
This is Hotel Rock.
Part of the trail to get there.
A highlight was an unmarked trail hike out to some ruins that a local member of our group knew.
This shot shows only a small section that includes a perfectly preserved Kiva.
The hike is not for that faint of heart or those afraid of heights!
Me and the Fam inside the Kiva with one of several pottery pieces and relics we found (and left ).
On the way back out we came through an old forest fire burn area and found a burned Ponderosa Pine tree had recently fallen across the road.
We all pulled around it and the other 3 jeeps in our group continued on.
Being old Boy Scouts, Dave (Bright Silver 07 4 dr Sahara, Tera 4", 35's),
Randy (Black 08 2 dr X, Tera BB, 33's)
and myself (Greystone 07 X 4 dr, Tera 4", 37's)
stayed back to move the tree.
Our boys strap us up. Me on the right with a short strap and Dave on the left.
Randy gives the signal and we hit it and go for a FULL PULL!
The heavy tree was pushing me into the side hill so I pull up and hook onto Dave's
front bumper and we both pull inline and move the base over.
We strapped onto some branches to break them off and the road was open!
Our good deed for the day was done.

Great pics. Let me be the first to commend you on removing the tree. Most non-jeepers would have gone around and left it across the road. I had never seen landscape like that until I went to Vegas last new years. We road out to Red Rock Canyon and I loved it.

I ran across something similar on a trip to Metberry Gulch here in Colorado. A huge burned tree was blocking the path. It was one day I wish I had a chainsaw with me. There was no room to maneuver to move it.
