Default Help-Wheel noise after mudding

I went and played in some mud holes this afternoon. Nothing extreme, but now I have this horrid squeal/metal noise coming from my front right wheel. Sound is heard when moving at all speeds, not when breaking. Breaking actually makes the sound stop when I'm slowing down with brake pedal slightly pushed. Checked for obvious foreign objects but didn't see anything. Any ideas?

Have you run a pressure washer at it yet?

I'm willing to bet you just missed some dried up, clumped up mud between your rotor, brake pad, or lodged somewhere in there.... just take a couple of pitchers of water and run it over the inside a couple times. It's happened to me numerous times.

And the reason it "stops" when you push the brakes is probably because its brushing most of it off.... if the problem persists, then check it out a little further. This is the reason why when you go mud bogging, you are supposed to wash off your rigs before the mud dries....

This started as I was pulling out ready to head home. I stopped at a friends close to the play area and sprayed off with a hose. Need to do it more thoroughly now that I'm home and see what happens.
Thank you for the feedback.

Could you smell the mud sort of burning?

^^^^ Good thinking.... you'll have that "distinct" smell of hot or burning mud.

Ok. All is well. My baby's back to normal after numerous pressure washings to the wheel. I've never had that happen and it scared me. This is my daily driver as well so I'm sure some of you know how that feels.
Thanks again. I'd be lost without this awesome forum and the wealth of knowledge (& BS :-) ) it holds.

Well, anytime you're not sure if its BS or not, just run it by me and Fox. Right brother?

I have found, you know when you have done good job mudding when it takes the same amount of time to wash the the Jeep as it does to clean the driveway (after washing the Jeep).
