Default do i need lockers?

i have a 2013 Sahara with the limited slip Dif option. My question is at what point do i need to consider lockers? I spend a majority of my time on pavement and see a lot of snow so i realize the limited slip is fine but i plan on swapping gears to 4.56 to run 35s. Now i know in an ideal situation if i wanted lockers i would do them both at the same time to save on labor. The lockers however would set me back a lot and if it's not something that necessarily needs to be done then i'd rather not. Not to mention it would delay the gear change as well. I like to off road and haven't come across a situation yet where slipping has been an issue and don't forsee myself getting into anything too crazy anytime soon but i like to see what the jeep can do lol.

Based on what you have, and what you say you do, I would say you do not need lockers.
The limited slip + the "Brake Lock Differential" feature of the traction control make a pretty good combination.

Lockers are always quite nice, but you will be truly shocked what all you can do unlocked. Most of the battle is throttle control and the driver anyway.

I find lockers and skid/body protection to be of greater importance then tires and lift. If my stock Rubicon had better skid protection, I might not want to modify it at all. It's that good with lockers and the stock tires.

For what it sounds like you are doing. I'd say there is no NEED for lockers. Nice to have? Sure. If the time comes that you actually really NEED them. But by the sounds of it, you won't be finding that situation all that soon.

x2, lol..

In CO, you will run into situations where lockers can help you continue, or you have to turn back. I use them alot in the rocks, but otherwise, I prefer how my JKU drives open on dirt for example.

For regular forest roads/dirt roads, hill climbs.. you probably don't need them. Usually if you have a wheel in the air, that's when you want to have lockers.

what if you put an air locker in the front and a TrueTrac in the rear?

I think the other way around would be more effective

I run blue and black trails and don't plan on getting lockers when I regear. I'd do horribly dumb things to my dd with lockers. I have plenty of fun as is. A lot of people don't need lockers, they need to get more wheeling time as learn how to pick lines and throttle control. The brake lock differential works wonders on the trail. IMO, open JK will destroy open similarly equipped tj's, yjs and xj's
