25 bucks for fire extinguisher

That's the difference between Dry Chemical extinguishers... They cost more & won't fry your jeep's electronics like some other ones might, depending on where and how much you have to spray. I'm betting those $15 extinguishers are not dry chem, but it's better than not having one.
And Edgar, why didn't you buy one today? You were already there

I'd go with a regular class ABC extinguisher from Home Depot. Kidde sells a 2lb model (where 2lb is the weight of the agent, not including the extinguisher body itself) extinguisher that is rated to cover 10sqft for less than $20, and unlike the one from Autozone (which is only rated to cover 5sqft), the Kidde is also RED.
For $40 you can play with the big kids and get a 5lb, but those suckers start to get big for carrying around on a rollbar mount.
You get what you pay for, especially if it saves the day. Those little ones might be able to put out a bright dome light if you throw the canister at it, but they will do relatively little for a real fire. Keep the little one you bought and buy a bigger one too, that way you can have extinguishers in 2 places. Keep the big boy version where you can reach it, and throw the little one in the back as a backup or second line

I used a H3R clean agent for the inside electrical fire. No mess to clean up.
Then I use the tundras for all others. These are great and spray along time.
First Alert - Products - AF400
I have 4 total in my rig for easy access. 2 in back, 2 up front.
