Latest upgrades to the 15 JK
I finally got some decent tires on it.
Cooper SST Pro's, I like em. Great on snowy roads and not much louder than the Winterforce tires they replaced.
Oh, and prior to that, I bought the Best Top complete top with soft doors and sold the hard top.
Looking at this, I needed to dig in a little more.
I didn't appreciate the high prices they charge for the exhaust packages out there so I built my own.
I bought a Magnaflow Universal muffler, a couple filltings and clamps and replaced the stock muffler.
I trimmed the stock over the axle piece to keep the muffler as high and tight as I could.
I cut the hangars off the muffler and rewelded them to the new pipe.
The exhaust exits out the side behind the right rear wheel but ends before the wheel edge so it doesn't hit anything.
Next was an air intake.
I had already put a drop in K&N filter in it a while ago.
I had some leftover piping from when I turbocharged my Silverado so I made an intake.
I used a grommet to install the airflow sensor and cut the hose supports off the old intake, cleaned them up and reused them.
Little bit of orange paint and it looks pretty good.
Of course now I had to get the Fashpaq tuner so I did the ECM swap with Superchips.
A definite difference.
Shift points feel so much better, throttle response is great and so far I have only run the 91 Octane tune.
Very zippy.

Sorry about the picture orientation, they're correct on my computer, but it's the Google drive for getting photos from the phone. Other folders show up OK.

Added note to the upgrades:
Muffler and air intake cost me less than $125.
Granted I already had the 3" tubing pieces so even if you add that you could still be under $200 pretty easy.
