Got the front Fusion 60 kingpin axle mocked up. I'm waiting on some new suspension bolts before I final assemble everything, but so far so good. I made a simple dolly jig to roll the thing around, it actually worked way better than I thought it would, only took an hour or so to get it slapped in there by myself. Tackling the dana 80 rear tomorrow. That thing is beefy, but my dolly should make it pretty straightforward. Once I get the rear in, im planning on dropping the engine and trans in place. That'll get me (and my wife) some garage space back.

Load leveler and a ratchet strap to hold up the snout worked great

Here's my dolly.

Getting there

One of five wheels showed up.

What, you think I couldve used another ratchet strap?

I did and didn't. It's the metalcloak 4 link long arm setup. The front is a pretty traditional 4 link long arm, lower arms mount just infront of the trans member and the uppers have a new mount welded on.

The rears use a drop relocation bracket with stock length arms.

I'm going to redo the suspension in a couple years, but for better or worse this is where I've settled for right now.

Great notes so far. I'm a few months behind you on the LS swap, but already have the 40's and the sub-standard EVO DTD. Just kidding. I like to poke at Dirtman on occasion.

This is awesome. Optimized to perfection or not, looks like a very thorough job with good quality parts. I look forward to doing something similar myself one day. I'll be following along for sure!

Wrestled the dana 80 in place today. I was reckless and didn't use any ratchet straps on the dolly.

I think next up will be dropping the engine and trans in place.

I look at that 80 and no doubt in a 100 years it will still be ok. Then I wonder how does FCA get away with 44's up against the new 392? Me? I use 44's against my LT 5.3 and after a year no issues and they had a 100,000 miles on them at the time of conversion. Looks like MC should have that TB offset closer to driver side.
Excellent build though - keep up the great work Wallyman.
