Default Would this interfere on light output of Truck-Lite ?

Just installed last week, some Truck-Lite headlights and I want to protect them from small road abrasives or any small debris. Overhere, in winter, they use small abrasive stones and you can hear them sometime it your vehicule.

Any of you tried something like this or seen any in actual use ?

I don't know about Truck-lites specifically, but in general, LED headlights are more apt to ice over in winter.
I would think the product in your picture would also encourage snow to collect on the lights.

Regarding interfering with light output, yes, anything in front of the lens will block some of the light.
I've heard people say such things as this or that doesn't reduce light output, (even referring to those "angry eyes" things), but if it's in front of the headlight, and it's not absolutely clear, it's going to block some of the light.

A review of your post indicates my post may be worth what you paid for it, as I have not "tried something like this or seen any in actual use".

Sorry, I do not get what you mean by " my post may be worth what you paid for it ".
If referring to picture....I did not buy them yet.

I heard that the lights gets some icing on them, but have not yet driven much in snowing conditions, so will find out later. But yesterday....I noticed the top part of headlight(was on for short while) driving in town, that it was almost dry while bottom part was wet from the snow on the road....So it gets a little warm I guess !!! Outside temperature was -16 celsius.

It means you paid nothing for my post, and it may be worth nothing, as I don't have any experience with the LEDs or the screens in front of them. My intent was to give you something to consider.

I'd likely try these: http://www.xpel.com/products/headlight_protection.asp

Sent from some string and a few tin cans.

Did not think about those protective film and it will be easier to clean.
Will look locally to find some, if not found around town, I will order some.
Thanks,

Maybe, I came up with a dumb idea for protecting my TL.....I opened the OEM headlight and the clear dome lens just fits over the TL....but not quite enought to hold on securely. Would a very small silicone bead hold, specially with the cold weather ?
Just do not want to glue them on permanently.
Tonight, I will put one on one side holding it with some tape and will see if it modifies the light pattern.

FYI: most of these cage type covers do not work with Truck Lites as the globe shape is different from a stock globe.

I would go with a film type protection if your are worried about it, but I know lots of huiys running in very thick brush that have not scratched their lites.
