Thanks! It only took me a year to come up with the solution, ha! Its pretty solid. It does flex just a touch, but not enough to where its going to affect anything. After looking and looking I was inspired by the TF cb antenna bracket, bought it, and chopped it up to produce this. I'm happy with the end result...and happier when its wired up! Now I just need to twist my brother's arm for some assistance on that task.
I am looking at SounOff LED floods at Amazon. I think they would be perfect for that application.

spent a few hours this afternoon (45 degrees on Dec. 11th in North Dakota! ) working on getting things wired up. light is wired and mounted, ran the wire up and along the roll bar (seemed to be the path of least resistance), drilled a hole in the dash above the driver side dash speaker and installed the switch. just have to run the wire through the firewall hopefully tomorrow after work and put power to it.
