Default wiring sub and amp to factory stereo (with factory sub)

Im looking to add a kicker L7 15" and 1500w amp in my sisters jeep. ive wired plenty of sound systems before but never to the factory headunit. this is going in a 2012 with the factory sub (i would assume its the infinity system?). what adapters/kit do i need to power the amp from the headunit? i can dissable the factory sub if needed since it will be drowned out by the new sub. tried searching but most results are for jeeps without the factory sub. any help is appreciated. thanks

If you have a stock sub, I would just take it out and wire it's connection into your new amp as a high level input

that would be the easiest way for me for sure. is the factory wiring strong enough to power a sub/amp this big tho?

Well the factory wiring wouldn't be powering anything. It would just be providing the source for the new amp. It would be a high level input for whatever amp you pair the L7 with

Ive got the factory sub removed but does anyone know which wire is which?
there is dk green/white stripe, dk green/brown stripe, grey/white stripe, grey/brown stripe. Also there is a black wire and a blue/pink stripe wire. Which of these do i need to tap into for the line out converter?

Either the set with white stripes or the set with brown stripes will work.

Grey is positive, green is negative.

The stock sub is a dual voice coil sub so it has two inputs.

The pink/blue is handy because it is your remote turn on from the factory amp. You can tap it and go straight to the "Rem" part of your new amp (usually located by the main +/-)
