Default Wiring Question

When wiring off road lights using a relay, what size wire shoud I use for my run from the battery to the switch and then back to the relay? The relay is 30 amps.

Also, since I have multiple sets of lights can I run just one thicker guage wire to the dash and splice it off to each switch or should each switch have its own load wire from the battery?

As long as the switch is only operating the relay you can use Cat-5 or something small like 24ga.

The only thing the wire is powering inside the relay is a small electromagnet. So you do not need a very big wire at all.

Ok, cool. Im adding a new fuse box to clean things up a bit and I originally used 16g from the switches to the relays. I just wanted to make sure that was ok since im going to have everything apart.
