After removing my stock stubby last week I noticed that there is a set of wires that were clipped down and running through the steel part of the bumper. My Jeep did not come with factory fogs, so I am wondering if the wire assembly was installed but without the provisions for the actual lights?

 

08 X Unlimited and mine has the same wiring harness. Mine does not have factory fog lights nor the stalk on the steering wheel. I assume it is cheaper for Jeep to wire em all the same and then simply install fogs or don't depending on whether the option is purchased. I ignored the wiring and left it alone when I wired my own PIAAs. My new wiring is in a loom right next to this one now.
