I just wired mine yesterday. KC Slimlites 130w Driving Pair. I used the KC brackets. Im not a fan of how the Mopar bracket mounts it down and away, like the light is hanging off the front a bit too much. I got the KC brackets for $30 and Im very happy with them. Very secure and the price was right. Very easy to wire, took about an hour and as stated earlier the switch looks factory after install. I have it directly mounted to the switch, so on when I want it on, not attached to the high beams.

I will post more info here, and pics when i get the jeep back today getting 2 TSB's done
Not sure if u have hansler- smith in the US but it is an industrial supply place, so perhaps if u don't another industrial supply place can get them.

they are durable and i have had mine for 4 years and they still look new. i will take more shots when i get it back today.

if you goto the hella.com website choose America and under consumer choose light up your playground, choose products and then choose heavy duty products then choose online catalogue and choose or search oval 100 series , halogen or if u have money xenon or punch in the part number listed above and below it will give u more info

The front bumper ones are these

Article number H15161021
Nominal Voltage (V) 12
Wattage (W) 55 x 2
Lamp Range Close Range
Bulb Industry Code H3 x 2
# Mounting Upright
# Stud
Connection Type 2+, 1-Wire Leads
# Feature Free-Form reflector made of vapor plated, die cast alluminum provides even illumination in all applications.
# Shock-proof housing made of fiberglass reinforced plastic with a projecting rim to protect the hardened glass lens.

# Close and long range versions available.

same dimensions for all oval 100 series

the interesting part is being double bulbed if u wire both the positives up to switch relay set up if a bulb blows u still have light (redundance) or u can wire 2 switches per pair i choose to wire both bulbs on one relay/switch so 4 x 55w of light in front of me on switch 2 lamps 1 relay and 1 fuse.
still have yet to replace bulb (knock on wood) and if i did i would go with higher output H3's. on 2 of the 4 bulbs/ pair .
also when i wheel by day i run the bumper ones which are close range.

Probably a stupid question, but what is on the back of the bracket that mounts to the windshield? What is touching the paint - does it has a soft backing in case you decide to remove the bracket? Surely it isn't metal-on-metal???

Small rubber gasket. Like innertube material.
