winch power cables?

Default winch power cables?

what is the tipical gage size of the power/ground cables for a 8500lbs winch. i have the LP8500 from superwinch and i'm going to relocate the control solenoids under the hood.

Should be 0/2ga or 4ga depending on the draw, I believe mine are 4ga.

If I'm not mistaken, I think my power cables are 2ga.

ABAFP (figure that one out).

My winch will draw up to 430 amps, not sure what's typical.

Tough to find wire "ampacities" for the kind of current winches can draw. Most charts I found list only ~200Amps for 2ga wire, not much more for 0ga, etc.

But wire length comes into account... since winch cables are short I'm sure 2ga etc is OK.
