Winch Install: Battery or winch issue?
Finished install on my XRC10 winch last night. Everything went well. Started the Jeep and began to spool up the line. Everythings seemed fine except the winch was slow and whining a bit. However there were bursts of speed. Ultimately with about 20 feet to go. I hit the remote and all the lights inside went dark, not winch but you could hear the solenoid clicking. Let the Jeep idle for probably 45 minutes. Went back out and everything worked.
-Winch said was 650CCA stock battery is 600. I keep reading about folks using their stock battery so I'm guessing they have 600 too.
Is it reasonable that under no winching load that I would pull down the battery that far spooling the line?

nut, lock nut, washer, wire. I put on it this order. I'm wondering if I should have done. nut, lock nut, wire, washer (Against stud). Would you really need a washer on the stud side of the winch to help conduct electricity?

Below is how I did mine...without issue.
I'd double check all your connections. Make sure your ground is good.
