Will MyGIG download iPod?
#11
I would like to have all of my ipod music in the car so I don't always have to remember to have the ipod. I don't leave it in my car overnight for temperature and theft reasons. If I could download all of my music into the car, I would never need to carry it.

since most folks rip their cd's to itunes as aac files instead of mp3s, your library is probably full of aac and protected aac files. you can use itunes to convert your aac files to mp3, but to convert protected aac files, you'll need an aftermarket program (free download off the net) that removes the copy protection. then you can convert these files to mp3 as well.
after they're all converted, i use a memory stick to upload to the mygig.

Another consideration - perhaps those of you having problems are using Macintosh formatted iPods? The hard drive format varies depending on if you set it up on a PC or a Mac.
Just a thought! I run both Macs (laptops) and PC's, but I keep my format PC for convenience and use of disk mode.
