Default Wifi in the jeep?

Ive heard of this before but I need to confirm it. Is it possible to turn your Jk into a wifi hot spot? I swear someone on here has done it before but I can't find the thread.

This is possible. I looked into it once before a long trip I was taking but couldn't justify the cost compared to using an air card.
The dealership had the part in stock and said they could install it that day, I wish I could remember the quote they gave me (it was high). I probably should have looked into after market but I didn't have the time, has to be something out there.
Still something I hope to do but in the mean time the air card works just fine.
I would start by calling your local dealership, they will be able to answer any basic questions you have. Good luck.

if you have a smart phone you can also turn it into a hot spot.. with a moto droid you can root it and use the hotspot setup for free...

I wouldnt want to pay for a hotspot that i could only use in the jeep and nowhere else.... i think all of the major cell carriers have their ownb version of the Mi-Fi. and you can use them anywhere.. including the jeep..

Default Wi Fi in JK

I thought about it as well. The inital cost to purchase it and to have it install was steep but as soon as one realizes that you have to pay a yearly subscription of ~1100.00 (if memory serves me correct) then it really isn't worth it as your smart phones or wireless hub/sticks are a lot more portable.

Verizon mifi here as well (company card), or Jailbroken Iphone 4 using MyFi.
