Default Where to mount off road light switch?

I'm installing some off road lights and am debating the switch location. Have any of you found good places to put the switch? My installer wants to put it to the right of the steering wheel. I'm thinking of in front of the shifter.

Anyone have any good ideas? Pictures of your slick install would help.

Put it on the A-pillar. Its easy to string the wires up there. and it looks clean when done.

Rugged ridge makes a replacement pillar panel that holds 4 rocker switches and looks good

Rugged Ridge does indeed make that, and I bought it. I like it, no regrets when I see it everyday in my Jeep. But, honestly if you don't mind cutting into your existing A Pillar cover, it could look just as nice if you only buy the switch or switches you need and cut the holes yourself. Completely your call though. Knowing me, I would have cut the hole too big or installed them crooked!

Rugged Ridge A-pillar with switches is very clean looking. And there is a grommet through the firewall close by, making it very easy to wire the switches.

Yup! Here you go. And yes, I recommend it also.

The switch is cool but I think I would hit my knee on that when I get in and out.

Here ya go! Install on the stock A-pillar. Wires were strung through a Hole right in front of drivers side firewall. I figure I have room for 3 more switches before I start cutting holes in the dash.

I used the factory fog switch in the lever, didn't have to run any wire through the fire wall
