So what lights are better the flood light or the spot light. I am getting LEDs most likely with the windshield mounts one on each side of window and maybe a 50" across the top of the window later.

If you get the 50" you will need nothing else. I have a 40" led that has both floods and spots built in and it's like turning the sun on. If you will plan on getting the bracket lights I would go with the floods if they are for the trail and spots of you plan on using them on back country roads

Below first pic is my stock lights second is the 40" led with both flood and spots built in

This is an open-ended question. Floods are best when used as Floods. And Spot Lights are best when used for Spot Lights.

Well if you can only afford one or the other which one would be the best. Is that a better way to put it? Lol. But I have learned you can get both in one light so all is good.

If you want them on the windshield I would get spots. Floods will reflect off the hood too much. If you get floods you would want them in front of the hood.

X3 especially if you have factory fogs. I had floods for about a month before buying some long range lights.
