Default What is that sound from the speakers

I have a JK with the Infinity speaker set up, and while playing some songs it sounds like someone scratching the needle acrossed a record, any idea what it could be, bad speakers or just speakers not good enough?

Search the TSBs on this site. There's one on noise from the radio if I remember right.

Try turning off the radio when you hear it and see if it stops.

I keep hearing a similar sound, I kept trying to figure out why the speaker was doing it, Then one day with the radio off, I heard it. sounds like it's the soft top rubbing in the plastic channel above the back door.

I am waiting for a nice day so I can open up the top and let it re-seat itself, hoping that will stop it.

my 2 cents.

Thaks but I have a hard top and it's coming from the speakers for sure.

Default Sound From Speakers

When I bought my 2007 Wrangler, I had some poping and ratteling coming from the speakers. I took it to a dealership and they fixed the problem. I don't know what they did, but the problem went away. Sorry I can't be more help.
