I found a plug just like that in the rear on the passenger side when I was running my CB antenna wire.

That sounds like the subwoofer/power outlet connector. I found that one last week too...also while installing my coax!

I should have put my fluke to it to see if it was powered, but of course that's an after thought.

I have the 2012 and on the drivers side of the dash behind the apillar is that same plug for my microphone for the voice command foe my stereo.

If I was near my Jeep I would like to test those and see if they are usable for things like auxiliary lighting etc. But I m in Germany and jeep is in the states. Any one else wanna give it a shot?

It could be the Uconnect microphone plug, which runs up the A pillar. I'll look the next time I'm in mine.
