Sorry for the late response on this thread, but I have to ask how this poster did this. Mine won't let me upload from my Ipod nano. Is that the difference? Flash memory versus hard drive of a nano vs. regular Ipod?

If anyone knows please let me know.
Thanks.

I'm n ot sure about the flash vs hard drive stuff, but don't the ipod's store the files as quicktime files? I didn't think the mygig will play those.

I did it by accident although it takes a while. Hook it up via the usb and somewhere in the mygig menu you have the option to import via USB. It looks like nothing is happening but it is copying songs (non-protected songs) very slowly to the mygig. You have no control over which ones nor do you have any other sorting abilities other than alphabetical.

The actual media HDD vs Flash doesn't make a difference but what will is the firmware rev your player is on. My iPod was updated after I made a transfer and don't know if it will work again. Transferring music via a DVD burned w/ your mp3s is much faster and the best way to send music to myGig because you can place music into folders which supposedly the myGig will use or organize the music. It is a lousy mp3 player option wise.
