They both do the same thing...almost identical harnesses and software...and prices. Also the same optional AV harness/video/and mic.

Again I AM NOT affiliated with Coastaletech nor am I trying to promote them...Whoever owned my Jeep before me purchased the Lockpick and uninstalled it before he sold it, but left all the equipment for me to re-install. I was just speaking to my experience with the Lockpick.

Yes you're right, you cannot update the firmware associated with Lockpick v.2 (or v.1 for MyGig). It seems the usb "black box" upgrade would be useful if Chrysler released an update blocking the lockpick...I'm assuming this is why Nav-TV has a feature like that. Either way the current running update for the RER has not blocked lockpick *yet*. I would be curious to see if CoastalEtech honored their product and provided a new "black box" if that was to happen.
I can remember only one guy who got a new upgrade free only because he bought it and about two weeks later they came out with an upgrade. my question about that was I'm sure when they sold him the original one they new an upgrade was coming out and could have told him. the following is what the NAV-TV ALLGIG does:
The NAV-TV ALLGIG provides the following features when correctly installed:
Enables video in motion.
Enables navigation entry in motion.
Enables VES display in motion.
The following features are available with the purchase of optional components:
Enables Bluetooth and voice recognition on RER radios. (Requires microphone assembly, sold separately)
Enables automatic backup camera input when in reverse. (Requires GIGCam or AV harness + Camera)
Enables VES Emulation mode for auxiliary audio/video input. (Requires AV harness)
Enables a full-time video input for a front or rear camera or FLIR night-vision system. (Requires AV harness &
optionally, a video switch for a second camera)
Enables a video output to display built-in DVD image on aftermarket monitor(s). (Requires AV harness)
Enables an external navigation display input for international use. (Requires AV harness

The lock-pick does all that. Also you do not need a video switch for the second camera. Somebody in another forum has mentioned that the new lock-pick has a usb port. Don't know why. I haven't heard of anyone having to update thier bypass device.
