Default Warn winch just clicking

Well I recently ordered and installed 2 new solenoids bc my warn 8k lb winch was just clicking. Didn't matter wether I was going in or out with the cable. Well that didn't fix it. 99%sure it's hooked up right. What else could it be or can I try to diagnose the problem?? Here is a pic of it for reference. Click image for larger version

Start flipping the wires around on it. I got a used warn xd9000i with no instructions so I just connected the wires in a trial and error method and it did the clicking thing too, eventually I got it right and it worked great

Wires coming in from the remote plug in or the 3 wires coming in from the motor to the solenoids?

Motor test procedure here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxKrseTT1a4 If you can't get it to turn it is probable the brushes. At only 12Volts, any little corrosion or particles on the brushes or commutator will stop current flow. You might try cleaning them. Similar to this motor:

Well gotta say I'm pretty sure I figured it out, that is why it only clicks. I took the motor off and when I loosened the bolts water just started pouring out of the winch motor. I doubt it can be rebuilt but I'm gonna drop it off and see. Here's what it looked like. Click image for larger version

I had a similar problem and it turns out the remote switch was bad.
Just a thought.

I kinda thought that but after removing the motor and water pouring out like a cow pissing on a flat rock. Well.. I'm pretty sure the brushes and every internal component was shot

Now's when you just might be happy you have a Warn instead of a Chung King version. I'll bet it can be repaired call Warn
