My point was that it's illegal for tire companies to disable your TPMS system, but as an owner I guess it isn't...

I'm not sure that it's actually illegal. But I definitely don't claim to understand all the laws. I think the tire pressure thingy has more to do with energy conservation and tire warranties. But anyway, this just proves my point that no company can sell or distribute anything that may be considered illegal. And a simple disclaimer isn't a good enough escape clause.

Which is the only reason why I brought up the point because the current ProCal can effectively disable the TPMS system when you set the tire pressure to zero...

I'm no expert on the law either, but my local tire store tells me it's illegal for them to do it and I've read that it's illegal for anybody to disable the malfunction indicator light on the dashboard (here), and other places. YMMV

Well...here's what I did when I installed the stock fog lights in the Liberty I had: I went to AutoZone, got myself some red and black wire, a switch, a fuse holder, 20 amp fuse and hooked them direct. Did a nice job if I do say so.
When I moved up here to PA, I took the Jeep to Reedman Toll for the yearly inspection and the service manager pulled me aside when I was paying up and quietly informed me that the way I had my fog lights was illegal.
I told him I didn't give a good GD, that I had enough sense to know when to turn on and off a switch. I paid up and told him to have a nice day.
Not a word out of him from then on.

Hooking them direct to a switch with a fuse in line is the only way I know.

Go for it!
