I guess you can wire it to the battery and just use an inline fuse to be sure.

Drilling into the frame was not fun, but we are lucky been in SoCal, so rust is not an issue. We mounted them temporary at different spots till we found the location it worked the best for us.

 

Put mine right on the body between the frame and the pinch seam and at the top of the fenders on the support bracket loved them but the multi color ones suck and are now broken after maybe 1 hour of use...had the white ones on my 09 Sahara and ran them bitches all the time in the water,mud,snow and rocks and never had a problem...dammit

 

For folks that are using these, how are you running the wiring to the inside of the cab ?
