Question US vs UK rear lights? indicators?

Guys, (I have a RHD 2010 JK, FYI)

I just bought a set of Pilot LED rear light clusters to replacement for my RHD 2010 JK rear clusters. When i tried to install them I noticed that my rear light clusters have a male plug and the Pilot LED rear lights have female plug. OK, me being a bloke, just cut off my male plugs and soldered them on my new Pilot rear light cluster, installed it no problem, everything works apart from the indicator........uhhhhhhhh

So on the JK's in the US what light indicates? sorry for this stupid question but I am trying to connect all wires this time OK the Pilot rear light cluster has one wire less.........so I want to connect the remaining wire to get the indicator working, I think it is the indicator wire, any thoughts?

So what rear light 'blinks' on the US JK Jeep?

Cheers,

Mark

Default Solution

Thanks for redirecting to the correct forum.

Found the answer, to get the indicator light working you have to connect the brown wire from the male connector to the green on the male connector (once you have removed the female connector and soldered the OEM male connector to the Pilot Rear light cluster)

Might be helpful to others.

Cheers,
