Under the hood setup
I"ve set up a small fuse block and distribution panel to run some rear worklights and front driving lights. It runs to a small switch panel inspired by helicopter panels. I work on one, so it made sense to me
Here's my auxiliary fuse block. I ran my hot lead from the hot post in the OEM fuseblock.
I'm only using two of the six slots right now. The first wire supplies power to a distribution block.
The second supplies power to my front lights via a relay.
The dist block sits in the upper passenger side corner of the engine compartment. I secured it with heavy-duty industrial strength double-secret probation Velcro.
Under hood shot, for fun. I ran all the wires (but one, I know. I was tired.) through split looms.
Here's a shot of my poor-mans attempt at a switch panel. It's not 12volt's, but it works, is unobtrusive and best of all I spent time with my kids doing it. HOORAY FOR KID TIME!
Questions feel free to ask! I may not know the answer, but I got the Wikipedia.
