Currently have the basic radio with the Uconnect button but no module.. What should I need to buy if I want to use my cell phone trough the car radio and maybe those voice activated feature ?

You guys got a part number or something to give me ? Advice for installation or any hint ?

 

Part number you need is 82211878, runs about $250ish. The kit is pretty easy to hookup yourself, but then you need to have the dealer activate it with their StarScan tool for it to work. Most places charge 1/2 to 1 hour labor to do this. If you're interested, you can also add the iPod cable, 82212000, which will charge your iPod/iPhone and let you control it through the head unit as well. It plugs into the Uconnect module once you have it wired in.

 

Also... I hijack my own thread but do you know if a Radio from a Rubi 2007 (not mygig..) will fit in a JK X 2010 ??

 

It will, however if you want the iPd functionality I described above, be aware that some of the 07 radios had issues with the AUX function working properly and won't recognize the iPod. The UConnect part will work just fine.

 

Nice since I don't mind about the ipod right now. Just want the Uconnect feature. Somebody know if the radio from a Rubi 07 with the uconnect feature will display song title in the screen ?

 

i have an 07 x with the non infinity satelite radio single disc with aux port and i plug my i-phone into it and my phone calls come over the factory speakers with no issues at all.
