Default UConnect in a JK?

Can anyone help me out and tell me how I can get this work in my Jeep?

I have the MyGIG in my JK, but it doesn't operate. I simply assumed that this feature was not available on Wranglers (since there is no place to put the microphone unlike other Chrysler vehicles).

I'm not a stupid man, and I'm fairly good with electronics, which is why I'm surprised that the UConnect works in some Wranglers. Help me please!

So do you have the microphone and the UConnect cable connected into the back of the MyGig? If so, you'll want to access the Engineering menu by holding the Menu and both Seek buttons for a few seconds. From the Engineering menu, page down to the last page and hit the "Enable JK HFC V/R module" button.

No. I wasn't aware you needed a microphone... I thought maybe the microphone was built into the unit, but I guess not. So, If I buy the mic, I can get it to work?

What's the part number I need for the mic?

Thx for the prompt reply!

I have the one from Coastal (the guys that make lockpick) An awesome friend gave it to me, but it only costs $20 from them and plugs right in. Then just enable the VR/U connect in the engineering mode by holding down both seak buttons and menu all at once. DO NOT MESS WITH ANYTHING ELSE! unless you want to chance turning your Mygig into a Brick. There are like 20 threads on this topic currently going.
