Default uConnect GPS Tracking (aka "bread crumb") button greyed out

Last week I also noticed that the tracking (bread crumb) button on my uConnect's GPS map screen is greyed out (feature disabled). In the manual it says something to the extent that this would happen if there is no digitized map for my current location.

A couple of weeks ago all the address book entries on my uConnect vanished. At the time I thought maybe the kids or someone was pushing buttons and accidentally hit the "delete all entries" button, but now I suspect it may be related to my GPS problem. Maybe something got wiped out in the uConnect memory.

Anybody have any idea what may have happened, and if there's a way for me to get my GPS Tracking feature working again, short of taking it to the dealer?

Thank you.

You have to many trails saved, until you delete some saved trails it will not work.

Thanks. I'll try deleting saved trails first. If that doesn't work, then I'll try disconnecting the battery.

I deleted some saved trails, and that fixed it. Thanks for the help.

How lame! It allows only 12 saved trails. And why don't they pop up a message telling you why the feature is disabled, so the user would know what to do? Arghhh! Just venting. It's all good now. Thanks!

Uhhh.....only 12? You'd think that it'd save as many as you want if you have free HD space.

I agree as I have that big hard drive with no music on it, you think I could store trails all day long until its filled up.

But Noooooo you cant.
