Default Truck Lite Question

I've been looking at getting the Truck lite headlights for a while. I've seen lots of good reviews and feedback about them and they seem to have a good beam pattern. But my friend just installed them on his Jk and the beam pattern looks like it has an "X" shape at the top of it? Is there a way to aim these lights or something to avoid getting this? Or is it just how these headlights are?

Anyone using the kc's? Are they worth the extra $100 more than the trucklites?

Hskr4x4 uses the KC's and did a writeup on them. His opinion is that they are worth the extra $$$.

Yeah the side by side comparison I seen in a writeup the KC's were way brighter than the trucklites and didn't have an X pattern in the light.

I'll likely either go with the new KC's, JW Speakers, or an HID with halos when I buy my lights. I've still not decided on which yet. For the brightness I'll probably go with the KC's or JW's. For the looks I'll probably lean towards the HID's with halos. So haven't purchased yet because I'm not sure which route I wanna take just yet. I'm always undecided.

I have had the Truck Lites for about 2 years now, no problems and I love them.

As the 'x' comes from the internal geometry. it can't be avoided.

The little 'x' doesn't bother me, and I like the even light spread. I haven't seen a more even light spread from any other make mentioned here or, in fact, any other headlight.

The lights that seem to be stronger, are not stronger.
Unlike TruckLite, they concentrate more light around the center, so the center is brighter.
However, their total light output is not greater, so, while the center is brighter, the rest of the area is dimmer vs the TruckLite.
I find the TruckLite wide-angle performance be an advantage when visibility is poor, either on or off road.

Along with the wide & even spread, the TruckLites have a very straight and horizontal cutoff. This allows aiming them a bit higher, without blinding on-coming traffic, while getting a wider lighted area.

The high beam is better than Speaker or other LED competitors.

Offroad, they have been good enough to allow me to postpone adding extra lights.
All I need (...should I say 'want'? ) to add, is some flood or diffused reverse light, and rock lights.

The advantages of LED lights are such, that I wouldn't go back to older headlight types.

You can/should get the horizontal adjusting screws from your dealer, they're only $5 or $6 for the pair and will allow you to adjust out the beam crossing. That left two "v" patterns on mine but they are relatively small and don't bother me as much as the pattern before adjusting them.
