Thanks, I'll give it a shot and see how it works out

Not always true. My set of Trucklite Gen2 fit perfectly in my 2010, when I transferred them to my 2012, there was a bit of slop in the notches, only on the driver's side with the retaining ring tightened appropriately. I didn't use E tape instead I used a short bit of plastic held in place by a dab of 3M gasket adhesive. Worked great and now there's no movement at all.

It's not a housing issue, it's a voltage issue. It seems to do it more when the engine is lower in RPMs.

You're talking about the flicker, we were just talking about the physical fitment issue found from time to time. The flicker is different from model year to model year based on what Chrysler has done with the computer. It was almost non-existent in my 2010, it seems to be more prominent in the '12.

I had a similar issue when I moved my IPFs from my 2007 to the 2011. I have a feeling that some sort of change was made in the 2011 year.

Anyone else notice the difference in the 2011+ gen over the 2007-2010?

This is way the rep said today in the emai.l

Some customers with newer model Jeeps are seeing a Flickering when
changing to our LED headlamps. This happens because the Jeeps have a
PWM (pulse width modulation) module that is causing the flickering of
the LED lamps. We are working on a plug and play fix for this issue. We
have had some success in making adapters, but they are still in the
development stage. We are expecting a solution to be available this fall.

So what ya going to do, I guess I'll keep looking but this sucks. Ya pay a crap tone for head lights
and they don't work right and all the maker can say is wait till fall.

Why is it everyone on here blames TruckLite for the flicker? It is a universal headlamp. It is not made only for the Jeep Wrangler. If you want to blame someone for it not working properly blame Chrysler for using PWM. It would not be cost effective for TruckLite to purchase/rent 1 of every vehicle in existence to make sure they work for every vehicle in existence. Do I have the flicker? Yes. Do I have 1 that is loose? Yes. I have switched them to see if the light is the problem and the driver side is loose regardless of which headlamp is in there. Is this TruckLites fault? No. So basically all the problems are with the Jeep. Not the headlamps. The only problem that is TruckLites fault is the "X" hotspot. The hotspot may be a turn off for some people, but for me it's not noticeable while driving. In my opinion it was well worth the money since here in the UK they don't like lights!!!

I totally understand "But" not once was there any info that you could run across a flicker. That some applications with newer vehicles will have power issues. And I do agree that it's due to the way jeep set up the system. What I'm trying to say is Truck Lite says its just a plug and play but it's not true for all situations like in newer jeeps. So when the fix is released guys like us will have to fork out more cash, if we want the lights to work in the proper way when they should just sell kits that has everything you need for your application.

Mine are loose also. I'm going to have another look and see about this tape on the tabs to tighten them up. Aftermarket isn't a perfect world.
