They probably installed the old style sensors and they won't work with the 2013. Whole new system, can't use any prior year wheels on the 2013s without getting 2013 type sensors.

I just picked up a new 2013 JKU sport S package on Wednesday, I traded in my 2010. I had them switch the Rubi take-off mud terrains form my old jeep to my new one. They road tested it before I took delivery, everything seemed fine until 10-15 min down the road when my sensor light went off in the dash. I have that vehicle info system option, and the reading is blank for all of the sensors. I have about 80 or so miles on the new Jeep, but the sensors are still not being recognized. The dealer I purchased it from is willing to make it right, but they are over an hour drive away (each way). Is there anything I can do to reset the sensors? I really don;t want to waste my afternoon tomorrow heading down there.

I find it odd that they needed to reset the sensors... same wheels and sensors that were stock, they just installed other (stock sized) tires on the jeep. Would they have had to take the sensors off to dismount the old tires?

I would make sure they didn't do a wheel and tire swap since the wheels are the same. Are the valve stems metal or rubber? For 2010 they would be metal, 2013 are rubber. Can't say for sure, but sounds like they did a straight swap and the wrong sensors are on there now, which won't work with your system.

I just went to the gas station to make sure the pressure was fine... sure enough, they just put the wheels and tires from my 2010 onto my 2013. it took them a while to switch the tires over, so I didn't think too much about it. My wheels are very clean, so, they don't look all that different than the new ones.

I called the dealership, and they said that they are going to make it right tomorrow. I have a feeling that I am in for a PITA. The sales manager was saying that he was involved in the deal, and he agreed to put the wheels and tires from my old jeep onto the new one... Something I never even mentioned because I knew that the sensors were not compatible. I have a chain of emails from my negotiations with the internet guy in which I asked how late service was open on Tuesday so they could dismount the tires from my old wheels and mount them onto the new jeep.

fun, fun, fun.

I had a hunch they did because it was easier that way and they didn't know the sensors are incompatible. It will probably end up being a pain, but at least you know the solution and what they need to do. Once they get the right tires and wheels together, they should pick right back up, even if it takes a few miles.
