Default TIPM need for reprogramming

I have a 2010 Dodge Journey. I want to remove and inspect the TIPM for a bad connection. If i disconnect it, will it have to be reprogrammed after is is put back in? Will I lose programming in other modules if the battery is disconnected? Thanks.
