Default Swapping one factory radio for another factory radio

Folks -
I've got a 2015 Sahara Unlimited with the factory RHB radio. The display on the screen is all messed up. I found a place that will repair it, but I have another potential solution:
I've got an opportunity to purchase a good working RHB radio from someone who is switching to an aftermarket radio.

My question is - will the radio security codes have to be reprogrammed at the dealer in order to work, or will I be able to just pop it in and go?

Fun:

You'll need to get the security code for their radio from the dealer. Not a tough process if the dealer cooperates. Then it's plug and play on your side.

Hi, just curious. what if they don't provide the code, is it as good as useless?
